Shreya Chandra is an undergraduate student double majoring in Aerospace Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Davis, as well as minoring in Computer Science and Energy Science and Technology, and pursuing a Certificate of Entrepreneurship. Shreya is a 2024 Matthew Isakowitz Fellow, 2024 Goldin Research Fellow, and 4x NASA Engineering Intern. She is a member of the Spring 2023 NASA L'SPACE Mission Concept Academy and Summer 2023 NASA L'SPACE NPWEE (NASA Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience). Shreya was a participant of the Spring 2023 UC Davis E-SEARCH program, through which she created a 2D alpha particle radiation simulation. On-campus, she is the current Chair for the UC Davis chapter of AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) and Co-Founder/Co-President of Aggie Space Initiative. Moreover, Shreya is a 2024 U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) PATH Scholar, 2024 Keller Pathway Fellow, 2023 Space4Girls Stellar Rising Star, 2022 and 2023 Society of Women Engineers Scholar, 2023 United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) Space4Women Mentee, 2023 Mead & Hunt Scholar, and 2022 WTS Transportation YOU Scholar. Outside of her academic pursuits, she has been a competitive figure skater for the past fourteen years and is an avid bookworm.
