Aidan Guerra is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Davis, double majoring in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Through the University of California Excellence Through Advanced Degrees (UC LEADS) and NSF California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP) Programs, Aidan has conducted research at the Bioastronautics and eXploration Systems (BXS) Laboratory at the UC Davis Center for Spaceflight Research (CSFR), focusing on human health and performance in microgravity environments. Aidan is currently interning at NASA Headquarters (HQ) supporting Technology Transition/Infusion for the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD). He has previously interned at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC), supporting the Flight Demonstrations and Capabilities (FDC) Project and the NAS Exploratory Concepts and Technologies (NExCT) Subproject. Furthermore, he co-founded the Aggie Space Initiative (ASI), and led the university's first student team to NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) for the NASA MUREP Innovation and Technology Transfer Idea Competition (MITTIC). Aidan's previous experience includes serving as the Vehicle Dynamics Lead for Formula Racing at UC Davis (FRUCD) and as a Propulsion Engineer for the Aggie Propulsion & Rocketry Lab (APRL). Moreover, Aidan has served as a 2023 NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador and has participated in the NASA L'SPACE Program. Outside of academics, he enjoys reading, going for long distance runs, and taking images of the night sky with his astrophotography rig.
